Your argument boils down to "for the good of the majority will the minority be stripped of their rights", the same fucking argument was used in Nazi Germany against invalids, sick people and later Jews. This mandate is flagrantly unconstitutional, unnecessary and plain fucking evil. If the federal government isn't stopped cold here, there is absolutely no limit to their power to oppress more minority groups for any reason they dream of.
