Sweeping new vaccine mandates for 100M Americans
- Barrin92 5y agoI think there is an important discussion to be had about vertical government measures, that is to say measures that are strong, but straight-forward and focused, and horizontal measures that are limited but broad in scope. I think we've largely tried to deal with covid by using the latter, i.e. using surveillance, passports, ever-changing half-lockdown measures, and so forth and I think it doesn't really work. It's bureaucratic, convoluted, confuses citizens, and so on. I'm in favor of just mandating the vaccines and be done with it which results in fewer creeping interventions at the end of the day than constant ineffective half-measures.
