It is an echo-chamber of negativity/despair. If you feel like it reflects the general sentiment then it's time to explore, there is a whole big world out there.
- trenning 5y agoYou and another person said I need to go touch grass but I do... I live in the pnw, I spend all my weekends in the woods. I travel a lot. Idk seems too dismissive of a comment imo.
- pwm 5y agoI meant explore other corners of reddit/the internet so that you are not constantly exposed to doom and gloom that negatively affect mental wellbeing. The other commenter suggested /r/futurology or check out /r/solarpunk. In general look for places that also discusses viable solutions/actions not just problems.
- kleer001 5y agoIt is dismissive. It's also judgemental and harsh. However, IMHO it's an appropriate response for the subject and the context. With the advent of the internet so many people with fringe ideas can get together into an echo chamber rather than dealing with the ideas and derision of the sane people around them.
