It helped me a lot when my mom passed of cancer, and helps me on a regular basic with the patients I see in EMS. A lot of things are really important. Have a will, and assemble your papers, so you don’t burden your family with endless chasing of paperwork. Have a power of attorney and a well documented set of wishes for end of life. These help immensely.
