The cynical part of me doesn't buy that this is anything other than a "2 steps forward, 1 step back" approach to just keep people in line and hopeful that things are changing just around the corner. After telling people that all they had to do was get fully vaccinated, now they're hinting that people will probably just need 1 booster. Once people internally bargain with themselves and buy into that, then the goalposts will get shifted again. "Just 15 days to slow the spread" morphed into whatever this dystopia is, so we'll see. I hope with every fiber of my being that I am laughably wrong.
