Show HN: monotn ― record and share your voice on the internet

Hello HN, Today I'm proud to present you a project I've been working on for the last few months: monotn (pronounced: monotone). You'd probably think that that's too much time for a project this rough around the edges. And I'd agree with you. That's why I'm so excited to share the link here. It's a huge milestone for me. So what it does? It records your voice when you ask it to do so. Your voice can be: - sent a private message to another user; - accessed only by those who have the link to your "tape" (even those without an account) or; - accessed by anyone who can visit your profile (so anyone on the internet). Why did I build this? Because I'm too shy for video, but too lazy for text. I wanted something in the middle where I can speak my thoughts out without having to deal with my face being exposed, or having to type a lot of text (that nobody would read anyway). I'd really love to hear (pun not intended) your feedback! # Questions you might ask: Why is your homepage so "empty"? To save you the hustle of reading about something you probably don't care much about it. It's as much straight to the point that I was able to make. Please let me know: did I do it right? Why are you forcing me to sign up straight away? First, show me it's worth it! Sorry about that. I tried to build a workflow that does not require a logged user, but I'm not there yet. What's your business model? Can't we have fun anymore? Your app is so slow! Thank you so much for all HNer for coming by! If this (hopefully) true, just know that the app is hosted on the cheapest hosting I could find. So yeah, it's no surprise. Hey, there's a bug in your app! Oh, thanks! My code is full of'em :) I'd really appreciate if you can tell me about here in the comments or send me an email on wave@mono.tn! Oh, or maybe send me a voice message on mono.tn/ahmed ? You're the best!! P.S.: I don't have access to a Mac or an iPhone to test this with Safari, so don't be surprised if it's totally broken. (But please let me know about it!)

I should've thought about that before posting this!! But unfortunately nothing that's interesting, other than me embarrassingly testing stuff. Here's an example: https://www.mono.tn/tape/ZVPb31Y/ https://www.mono.tn/tape/ZVPb31Y/
