Don't let the dishwasher dry the dishes. Take them out and dry them yourself and you can make sure they're all clean.

You’ll know immediately if something’s dirty when you run your fingers along the surface. Sure, regardless of the dish's state before, after you run your fingers on it it isn't clean anymore.
