I have programmed in C# since 2003. But now I feel it is trying to be everything for everyone and the sheer cognitive load to learn C# today is huge. It has a big surface area. too many syntactic sugars, multiple paradigms and keeps on expanding. Somewhere down the track after C# 6.0 the balance between simplicity vs features has completely lopsided.
