I am using pebble time round and garmin fenix,
both have their controls limited to buttons, which in my opinion is superior to a 'touch' interface.
the pebble has a transcription service for replying to messages by talking to the watch, converting the message to text to the receiver. Unfortunately the app development has declined since the hardware support seized. The software is maintained enough to keep usability for my usage.[i]
garmin fenix is obviously a choice for the exercise enthusiasts. however some features are very neat, like support for openstreetmaps[ii] and TOTP support [iii]
The only thing I am worried about with garmin, is that I have a sense that the look their app is turning more and more 'toy-ish' and 'share-friendly' and less functionality focused. I guess this move can make new users feel comfortable, but If I just want to use the watch as a tool, I worry certain features will get more convoluted to use.
/I am using android as OS for my smartwatch/
