Tech Epochs and the App Store Trap
- greatgib 5y agoAt the beginning of the article I had a hope, but it turned out to be an useless garbage speech. For exemple, one argument from the author for the appstore monopoly is that "apple" allowed to create a market for "in app" payment because people trust the closed appstore. And the proof would be that it does not exist on computers... It is so so invalid and clueless... There were payment and in app payment on the computer for ages. Long before the apple app store. Today most payments are done in a web browser btw, and people usually trust more banks to do that. You also have PayPal and co. Diversity and choice is not a problem and quite the opposite! Without openness, PayPal or stripe would not had existed.
