It should be if you want more people than CS majors to take it.
- tzs 15y agoThat's why there should be a separate line of courses for people who are interested in practical programming rather than computer science, similar to the way many schools have separate "calculus for business" or "calculus for engineers" classes for those who aren't math majors.
- pnathan 15y agoIntro to CS is intro to CS. Intro to programming is something different. And there is a difference between the two, and the courses should not be conflated.
