What are the Do's and Dont's for the Product hunt launch day?
We are launching Wylo in next 48 hours and it's thrilling!
What should we keep in mind on the launch day?
- leobg 5y agoHave an army of pre-qualified reviewers at the ready. Have them blast the site with comments as soon as your launch is live to game the algorithm and get more traffic. Alternatively, just sit back, hope that people will judge you based on the quality of your product — and be doomed.
- gus_massa 5y agoNote: It's almost the inverse of the recipe of HN.
- detaro 5y agoAnd mixing the two is not going to work. producthunt.com links are even banned on HN
- muzani 5y agoI thought PH punishes this behavior. Certain friends of mine used to do this, especially those who are part of a cohort invested by the same group. Somewhat unrelated, I've noticed that my rankings were punished on Google Play despite being organic traffic. There was a sharp drop during the user spike, then it went back up to normal after the initial viral spike subsided. So I've always felt that the launch spikes were something to avoid. Does anyone have experience with this actually working?
- visox 5y agonot sure about PH itself its not like HN where people would come to see what's new. PH is imho waste of time, maybe unless you have a product for other creators.
- 2bor-2n 5y agowhat's the template you used for the landing page?
