The device I longed for a Decade Ago is an 8.5 x 11 inch E-ink reader (for PDF documents). Anyone know if I can get one these days?

- tschwimmer 5y agoBoox makes some tablets that are roughly to your spec. Pricey and they violate the GPL[1] thought [1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23735962 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=23735962
- retsibsi 5y agoI'm not sure about that exact size, but I was looking into large e-readers a while ago, and roughly (perhaps exactly?) A4-sized ones do exist. From memory they were all pretty expensive, and I'm not sure I found one whose quality I was confident of. I don't have any links from back then but a search turned up this reddit thread, where the top comment includes a few suggestions: https://www.reddit.com/r/ereader/comments/89gnax/im_looking_for_an_a4_sized_ereader/ https://www.reddit.com/r/ereader/comments/89gnax/im_looking_...
