Opinion piece by Tyler Cowen. Gaming is hermetic; there's little overlap with traditional culture (movies, books). Gaming is growing while tradcult is waning. Gaming has brought about post-modernism, the death of central meta-narratives of culture, which death itself has been a central meta-narrative for decades.
