He is arguing about the total fatality rate, rather than the IFR. It is feasible for those to go in different relative directions with a more infectious but less deadly disease.
- bhickey 5y agoYes, thank you. We need to look at the overall risk. To pick an extreme case: The unvaccinated IFR of rabies is close to one, but there hasn't been a rabies fatality in the US since 2018.
