Money
Edit: if I didn't need money to be able to continiue to live a comfortable life I'd quit my job (working for a cloud-based home IoT platform provider, which I hate at the moment) and do something more useful (at the moment, I'm thinking that's a cloud-free semi-self-arranging p2p IoT system, I mean, that would be super cool right?).
Edit2 (I'm super drunk right now edition): I work for SmartThings (a subsidiary of Samsung) because 1. I had a diabolocial plan since before I started here to slowly change it into a local IoT intergration platform since before I started. (Which I've finally released stage 1: https://community.smartthings.com/t/announcement-smartthings-edge-for-devices-and-automations/229555 https://community.smartthings.com/t/announcement-smartthings... ) and 2. I feel like this is.inconsequential enough that I'm at least not making the world worse than it already is. Also 3, I get paid $133900 a year base salary in Minneapolis which I thing is pretty good. (Lol, again back to money.)
- Minor49er 5y agoAG, is that you?
- azdle 5y agoI don't know what that would stand for, so, uh, probably not?
- Minor49er 5y agoAh, nevermind. I worked with someone who now works at SmartThings (at least as far as I'm aware, they're still there). You sounded like you are at the same level as where they would be, so I mistakenly guessed that you were the same person.
