Does anyone else feel like it's a dream when they're coding?
It makes everything interesting. Also, you look at the codebase/business as a whole (a dream), so you don't get caught up in the details.
- kortex 5y agoWell, my dreams are usually surreal, so yes :p
- mikro2nd 5y agoYes. The Big Teeth... they're after me, they're after me, aaaaarrrggghhh... and I'm caught in the weeds tangling and strangling me. And the mud, ach, the MUD, and I'm sinking into the stinking ooze and I can't get out and oh god I need to pee and I'm running and running but the teeth, the TEEEETH...
- yuppie_scum 5y agoA dream where I’m not being hit up by 20 different people on slack yes
- swman 5y agoYeah. Coding is the best thing I discovered in my life. Im just sad that I was in my mid 20s when I started. I get to be a “god” or creator and make what comes to my mind. Pretty cool.
- giantg2 5y agoMaybe a nightmare. Work sucks.
- iExploder 5y agocognitive dissonance, I would seek help immediately
- sming 5y agoI suffer from DP/DR (a horrible anxiety-based condition https://www.verywellmind.com/derealization-2671582#what-is-depersonalizationderealization-disorder-dpdr https://www.verywellmind.com/derealization-2671582#what-is-d...) and coding hard for an hour can leave me in a similar state to DP/DR.
