- commoner 5y agoA user can have more or less control over their device. There are many shades of gray between "I fully control my device" and "I don't control my device." When a change to the device software, like the introduction of on-device scanning, reduces the level of agency the user has over their data on their device, it's an adverse change that the user is justified to protest.
