- sharken 5y agoYou can either have privacy or surveillance, Apple is trying to sell the idea you can have both which is a false statement. Since Apple have been pushing privacy as a differentiator with Android, i can see their problem when they also want surveillance. The answer is simple: Drop all plans for surveillance also known as on-device scanning.
- ectopod 5y agoSadly, “privacy-preserving” surveillance is already a thing. After the Snowden revelations the NSA didn't stop collecting everyone's data, they just refined the legal justification. They claim that it isn't illegal surveillance if they don't look at the data. So if you become a person of interest they get a warrant and then trawl through your digital life since forever.
