It was quite surprising how many medical staff on twitter basically were telling people "shut up and wear a mask, I wear a mask everyday & there are zero side effects" to people who weren't used to masks, who were raising legitimate complaints.
Its painfully obvious that putting a barrier in front of your face that is designed to trap particles is going to prevent air flow - and for people who aren't used to this this is going to cause issues.
Perhaps, its fine for medical staff who are used to altered airflow, but for the general population it may be a problem - and the dismissal of that from medical staff online was a display of arrogance.

There is the side that says that if COVID particles are partially encased in droplets and the masks help stop the droplets than surely masks will have a positive effect in helping slow the spread of COVID. There is also the side that says what you have: If you are going to partially obstruct your method of breathing, especially for extended periods of time, you should expect some negative consequences.
