What do you call films made with digital cameras?
- dylan604 5y agoThis was my point with the submitted title. As written, it was a declaritive statement saying "are filmed". If it used the actual title of "how they are filmed", I would not have an issue. If the images you are acquiring on a digital camera are to be used in a film project, then I'm okay with calling that "filming" as that's just the industry vernacular. Even the project itself being a film shot digitally is still a "film project". nuances, pet peeves, etc.

- 0-_-0 5y agoYour link says: However, the act of shooting images with other visual media, such as with a digital camera, is still called "filming" and the resulting works often called "films" as interchangeable to "movies," despite not being shot on film.
- elihu 5y agoAs others have said you can call them movies or videos, but I think the actual question is what's the verb to use for making a digital movie? "How Mushroom Time-Lapses Are Movied" sound strange. "How Mushroom Time-Lapses Are Videoed" isn't too bad.
