A child's choice or thoughts (within reason) we rarely take into consideration because they do things like shove raisins up their noses. Kid's should be allowed to be kids and not be dragged into this discussion. This is a complex issue and there is a good reason why we don't let children consent to various things or sign legally binding contracts. Kid's are not just "little adults." I will admit if apple did that it would be a pretty effective, but really sleazy.
