    If you are implying that providers are putting patients who don't need it on vents to drive profits you are tragically uninformed. Hospitalists could give a shit about hospital finances.

it is the punchline at the end of the article. i found it confusing though, and to be honest, lurid---the article deals with the Sackler family, their greed, lies and ambition.
