Ask HN: Why do Amazon MTurk refuse to provide support?
I just don't understand. Their site issues 404 errors to the workers. We contacted them but got a response that MTurk is a self service and unable to handle technical issues. I am like WTF!! After repeated messages, they blocked us from submitting further support requests.
The workers see the failure at following mturk endpoint
POST https://workers.mturk.com/projects/REDACTED/tasks/REDACTED/submit 404 (Not Found)
- retrac 5y agoMTurk workers are in great supply. I assume it's not affecting most of the workers. Losing a few to some bug probably has no real impact on them.
- chris_throwaway 5y agoTo tell you, we have emails from 300 workers and we see zero submissions of 1700 tasks we put on batch.
- sbierwagen 5y agoIf 100% of the API calls fail then it sounds like you're posting to the wrong URL or there's some other issue with your request. Which AWS API docs page did you get that endpoint from?
- chris_throwaway 5y agoWe don't post to this API. It's Amazon site itself post to this endpoint. We got this endpoint by opening browser devtools network tab.
