My opinion, kindly, is attempting to use click bait titles to attract attention isn't beneficial in the long run. Focus on building content that people naturally want to read and engage with, because tricking someone into reading your content gets you one viewer once, but that's it.
- martyalain 5y agoThanks for the lesson, you are absolutely right, shame on me. I have so far posted 81 questions on Hacker news, always on the same topic, always with a serious title, related to the subject. Almost never an answer. So I cracked, I thought that attracting the visitor with a catchy title would give me the chance to get some feedback on a research that is close to my heart and that I have been pursuing alone for so long. I missed my chance, I took a slap and I deserved it. Sorry to have wasted your time. Sorry I couldn't get your opinion on my work. I promise not to do it again.
