Apple is asking people to opt into their “Personalized Ads” in iOS 15
- warning26 5y agoI find it a bit questionable that Apple can "ask to track" using their own customized dialog with soft language, but any other developer is forced to use the scary "CONSENT TO BE TRACKED" copy. Seems to me that Apple should be dogfooding their own dialog here.
- Calvin02 5y agoOh, there’s definitely a double standard here. When other companies do it, Apple uses pejorative (“tracking”) language, but when Apple does it, the the language is positive (“personalize”).
- ViViDboarder 5y agoIt actually explicitly says “Apple does not track you”. I think, in their mind, the difference is that they are using tour interaction on the device to display personalized content, rather than sending Apple identifiers and information to track you off your device.
