I'm Canadian, have lived all over this country, as well as in the USA, as well as working with Americans for 15+ years. I don't see any recent change in the behaviour of the people I interact with - from either side of the border. Those over-generalizations of yours don't match my experience in any way. I'm not sure where that perception is coming from, but I see none of that. I think you're drawing correlations from too little data here. I have seen major changes in politics however, especially as it relates to the progressive left. Perhaps you're seeing a different shift at play.
