- jimmy2020 5y agoPatriarchal culture is so deep into their history but not to the point where you ban non-muscular men. Chinese regime recently considered the pop culture CIA attempt to make Chinese men less masculine.
- bobthechef 5y agoOf course it was. Most cultures, arguably. Effeminacy was rarely accepted as normal. It was generally viewed with contempt or as something inferior, even if tolerated. Widespread effeminacy did not bode well for the viability of the affected society.
