Hello everyone, I am Ron and together with my co-founder Shiv we are Fleetbase; a private logistics tech company based in Singapore. We have been in operation since 2018, our primary product is a developer API for logistics operations. Fleetbase started as a project born from a problem, while freelancing prior to 2018 our co-founder Ron was being tasked with creating logistical apps. Since the boom of Uber, Postmates, and other on-demand apps. Several clients wanted to build their own on-demand apps. With polarizing requirements it wasn’t possible to use cookie cutter white label solutions. This started the birth of Fleetbase, an API-first solution to developing logistical and on-demand apps, with all the building blocks and functionality right out of the box. We executed our proof of concept developing a cargo container marketplace with Fleetbase, which allowed hauliers in Malaysia to bid and share excess container load with the goal of freeing port congestion. The platform launch was successful and eventually went through several feature iterations, and integrations with the local government and ports. The marketplace was eventually sponsored by the ministry of transportation in Malaysia and is still in operation today. Now after 3 years of working in the logistics industry, building tech solutions and iterating on the Fleetbase platform. We are happy to introduce a new open source app powered by Fleetbase which allows anyone to set up their own on-demand shopping app, or multi-vendor marketplace within minutes. With covid, the demand for hyperlocal services and apps have increased to an alltime high. This is when we started receiving requests for these types of development services from local restaurants, bars, and various vendors. Storefront is the solution we designed for this. We wanted to make it easy for businesses to build, publish and launch their own app quickly and with all the features needed for them to execute all types of delivery and hyperlocal services. Features : * Open source and fully customizable for commercial or personal use * Push notifications to keep customers informed about their order in real time * Customizable payment gateways so that you can accept payments how you want * Storefront dashboard built into console for complete management and overview * Ability to create multi-vendor marketplaces in a few clicks using “Networks” * Integration with our logistics operations extension “FleetOps” by default * Roadmap for continuous integration of new features and capabilities * Easy to use SDK to build up your own web or mobile apps * Real time tracking and ETA for orders * Built in Proof of Delivery via QR Code or Signature * Checkout the README and clone or fork the project over on Github (https://github.com/fleetbase/storefront-app https://github.com/fleetbase/storefront-app).   Of course, this is one of the use cases we planned for to allow medical professionals to essentially launch their own app for out-patient appointments or even pharmaceutical deliveries to those unable to come to pharmacies.

How will the Shopify integration on roadmap work?

  Hi! We will be integrating into Shopify & Woocommerce so you can manage incoming orders from those platforms directly in Fleetbase - you & your customers have full visibility of the delivery process

  TLDR Fleetbase Storefront will be available as a Shopify app, essentially allowing you to manage your store from Shopify. The Shopify integration is currently a work in progress, but will allow you to use all the on-demand and features of Fleetbase & Storefront while allowing you to manage your products, categories etc from Shopify. Your ad-hoc orders will bing through Fleetbase to your agents or drivers giving you the best of both worlds.
