Agree. I sort of understand why though - we live in a religious plurality. Secular themes are the safe area. You say Scholasticism, I say the Eastern ancient Holy Fathers, another person would say Buddhist teachings, another Hindu teachings and yoga. In a way, the major accomplishment of today's philosophy curriculum is showing that it is not sufficient. I'm sort of okay with this :-)
