- Retric 5y agoThey where extradited from Cyprus not the UK. As Cyprus gained it’s independence from the United Kingdom in 1960, recent UK/US treaties are irrelevant to this case.

- sonicggg 5y agoI find it quite disgusting countries that agree to extradite their own nationals, it smells like subservience.
- enkid 5y agoYeah, people should totally be able to kill someone than go back to their own country and never be held accountable.

- BoxOfRain 5y agoYou mean like the American citizen who ran down and killed a British teenager and will never face anything remotely close to justice for it? I’m usually quite an Atlanticist but even I think these extradition treaties are awful.
- enkid 5y agoHold on, the above comment was about extradition as a concept, not a specific implementation. Surely you can agree the idea of extradition is a good one if you think it should be done in that case.
