It’s a manufactured issue designed to get people to squabble with each other on racial lines instead of uniting.
There are zero legitimate reason why a country with the resources of the US can’t accomplish something basic like this. It’s intentional.
- macintux 5y agoIf voter ID laws were accompanied by a strong push to make it easy to get the ID, I don’t think there’d be much pushback. This is analogous to simultaneously outlawing abortion and making it very difficult to get good sex education in school, defunding Planned Parenthood, and underfunding the social safety net for poor mothers.
