The Dress (Explained)
- smoyer 5y agoI see it as white and gold (the wrong colors).
- injb 5y agoThat's baffling (an fascinating) to me. Does the "white" part look the same to you as things that are definitely white? Like the blank parts of the wikipedia page for instance?
- smoyer 5y agoI see it tinted the shade of blue you'd expect if the dress was in a shadow (contrasted by the bright background).
- injb 5y ago>> I see it tinted the shade of blue you'd expect So you see it as blue, not white then?
- smoyer 5y agoNo ... my mind says the dress is white and gold but the white has that shadow look.
- moralestapia 5y agoHonest question. Why would a white dress look blue under natural light?
- ThePadawan 5y agoRemembering this whole escapade depresses me greatly. For 2 days, it was "oh hahah that's interesting", and for the next year it was humans yelling each other because they could not accept that their way of viewing the world might be in any way, shape or form imperfect.
- smoyer 5y agoThat's not at all how I remember it! (j/k). I think it's a good reminder that our impressions of the world around us are personalized and that they may not be representative of reality. P.S. Sorry if I reopened an old wound!
- ThePadawan 5y agoIt's quite alright - I may have exaggerated the emotional impact on me (since communicating by text is still incredibly flawed). No tears were had, all wounds remained scabby!
