I see this as an opportunity to play with Podman. I don't fall into the category where I'll need to pay, but Docker Desktop has long been somewhat user-hostile. The forced updates I HATE. It's my machine, I get to pick the version of software it runs. And I've had enough bad updates from Docker to get jittery when it pushes one on me.
