Nightclub in Glasgow will harness energy from dancers
- gus_massa 5y agoAre the calculations available somewhere? From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_power#Available_power https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_power#Available_power the output of 1 person is ~100W in ideal setup. If they expect to extract some energy from the movement of the stage during a not coordinated action of the dancers, I expect a much smaller number. For comparison, an old lamp used ~100W, an air conditioner for a small home uses 3000W. How much is "70 tonnes of carbon emissions per year" compared to the CO2 emissions? How much CO2 will they need to make and install the devices?
