I’ve had the opposite in my social circle. People generally try to be reasonable and so that suggestion is extremely rarely made. When received, it tends to be positively received as a time to self reflect and evaluate. That said, the wording used is more like “are you sure you’re approaching this reasonably?” rather than as an assured statement of “you are being unreasonable”, and I feel that difference may be significant in terms of distribution of response.
