Having seen a lot of CC-BY-NC licenses in my 3d printing days, most of the creators who chose this license don't want big companies to rip off the idea and make a lot of money with it. But the problem is that If I make any money on it (say I want to play a song on twitch where I do like 5$ a month) in my perception this is commercial use, so I can't use it. Or back then I had a small company any wouldn't make much money but avoid CC-BY-NC licenses because they are all vague and I know of at least one case of a creator actually going against small shops via legal action.
