I briefly hit a period right around when I bought a home that the recommended ads on instagram were really really good. I bought a bed and a sofa from instagram recommendations, and looked at a whole bunch of other things that I didn't end up buying. Nowadays it's back to being garbage, but I have to imagine every now and then these algorithms hit a gold mine like they did with me.
