Why 15? Why not 1,025?
Adding complexity (more justices) to address complexity (more laws) is not going to help.
The reason leftists like the authors of this article want more justices now is because Biden would appoint leftist justices and the 51/50 split in the Senate would confirm them.

Most serious proposals for expanding the court address this. They generally propose adding and filling the new seats gradually in the 5-20 years after the expansion passes. That way, no one knows the executive or legislative makeup at the time of each new vacancy. That said, the most serious proposals are for staggered 18-year term limits, so each president would have 2 vacancies (unless a justice dies on the bench), not more seats.
- Grakel 5y agoThere's no gain to this. The only potential gain of adding justices is to fill the seats yourself. The whole idea is selfish and short-sighted.
