China Passes One of the World’s Strictest Data-Privacy Laws
- warning26 5y ago> The law will require any organization or individual handling Chinese citizens’ personal data to minimize data collection and to obtain prior consent, according to the latest published draft. It covers government agencies, though lawyers and policy analysts say enforcement is likely to be tighter on the private sector. I'm surprised that they even gave lip-service to including government within the scope of the law.
- Proven 5y agoHow does stuff like that get published in the WSJ? Stictest my ass. The CCP has access to 100% of every person's data. It's the world's least strict, as access to data is monopolizied by the autocratic Commies who can access everyone's data and don't answer to anyone. You have no privacy rights whatsoever.
