Ask HN: Why Theranos idea was not possible in real life?
- PaulHoule 5y agoPrick your skin and you get blood and also a sample of other fluids such as intercellular juice. The latter is entirely a different thing and measurements of electrolytes and other things frequently tested mean something totally different. Also blood testing is not a bottleneck in medicine. Maybe some people can’t stand needles but the phlebotomy clinic in my area gets you in and out like that —- what is there to disrupt about it?
