This is heartbreakingly tragic because I too have a certain bias regarding death and age like most people do.
In my opinion, dying young should be reserved for the best.
At leas in most cases.
Everyone else should live to tell their grandchildren about their lives.
But not much longer.
In the long run, we are all dead, and being alive means making decisions based on personal preference or necessity Under given circumstances and awareness of information.
To give perspective to this article: I am much older than they are, having 'survived' two Moderna vaccinations, among a lot of much riskier things in my life.
And I did the vaccination not because of me.
I don't care.
I did it, because I can't stand the thought of possibly being responsible for the death of some 11 year old in Misssipi, some 17 year old in Norfolk, some 15 year old in Great Junction or some 30-something in NY.
By infecting them.
You may look up those cases yourself, there are more.
I didn't think about it, but I probably did the vaccination, because I don't like to see myself as a slob scared from the laughably small chance of dying, protecting others by my vaccination.
Must be some strange kind of protective primate father thing.
And by the way it is still more risky to die from Covid-19 than from vaccination, also in your 30s.
