The Monino Airfield [1], north of Moscow, has a Tu-144 [2] on display. You can walk right up to it, but can't physically get in it. Monino is one of the more amazing aviation museums I have seen. There are some extremely rare aircraft on display, including my favorite, a Mil V-12 [3] You can hire a former pilot who was stationed at the base to give you a tour. They can speak some English, but if you speak a little bit of Russian the stories become a lot more interesting!
