- PaulHoule 5y agoI've thought sometimes that an objective measure of "software quality" would be the number of files that you have to change in order to make a change that management thinks is small. Alternately, that would be the number of "modules" such as Maven modules. I worked on a search engine in which one might have to change 9 or so maven modules to add a simple feature since you'd have to change the hacked version of Solr behind it plus the front end and multiple servers between Solr and the front end, some of which management could give no clear reason for why they existed. That's not good.
