My plan has been to use AWX but my curiosity is if there's something people like better lately. There seems to be a decent amount of hate for Ansible in this community and I'm not married to any specific tool here. My past experiences with chef in a pull model exploded in spectacular fashion (most pre Erlang rewrite), so I'm unlikely to traverse that path again but it's been while and I like to stay open. Running a k8s derivative has been considered but the value proposition was bad. I like and use k3s but it doesn't solve for much in our use case.
