Ask HN: Connecting at Intersections of Niche Interests?
I live remotely, and it seems difficult to connect with those of similar niche interests (or combinations of).
The lowest frictions way I can think of would be to enter a series of niche interests (eg. land managements and robotics) and find discussions of other people similarly interested in that intersection.
Does such a thing exist?

- desertraven 5y agoMuch appreciated! However, that was just an example. Subreddits tend to be great for niche interests, but less so for specific intersections. Ideally, if enough people listed their interests on an anonymous platform, I could at anytime see previous discussions on any combination of interests (and also participate).
- dvaun 5y agoAh, I now understand what your ask was. I misread it. I'd be interested in something similar! Though, I'm not aware of any platform that offers this...the closest would be Reddit since it hosts the niche communities.
- desertraven 5y agoHow do you envision an implementation of this? I’m struggling to conjure the user experience. Even whether the medium would be instant messaging or discussion boards. I learn toward the latter for the sake of posterity.
