What it’s like to be an older worker in tech
- ggm 5y agoThis. Nothing to disagree with, can only affirm. (60 yo male working in tech since 82 btw) can be astonishingly hard to get bonded across an age gap.
- syspec 5y ago> It may seem like older tech employees eventually leave the industry as their engineering or coding skills wane > Wickre, who worked at the time as a senior media liaison for Google's global communications and left in 2011 Is this person really a tech worker, I would consider them PR The whole article is based around an "older" person who worked at google in a non technical role feeling left out
- xyzzy21 5y agoI realized the narrow-mindedness of both co-workers and management in my 40s so I realized I need to be the boss and then I won't be discriminated against. The other thing that works: DO NOT work for American companies - foreign companies are far more enlightened and less bigoted!
