Makes you wonder how the world would look if the electric motor became dominant in the 20th century instead of the combustion engine.
- mikewarot 5y agoIt did become dominant. The small reliable electric motor is why line shaft powered factories are a thing of the past. No more spinning disks dancing on the line shafts, no belt lacers, miles of belting, all driving row after row of production machines.
- entropicgravity 5y agoThe motor was fine but the batteries couldn't keep up with fuel.
