This hurts me. Not that people get use from old technologies, or that they share that information.
But we are 25-30 years into the information revolution. We don't just have a fast computer sitting at home, with an always on internet connection. We have several in different form factors that can be carried with us. Our internet is not only much faster than it ever was, it is unmetered and available everywhere.
It is proverbial to say that a watch has more power than the computer used to send people to the moon; I wear a smart watch, which beats my first laptop.
And yet, for all that, the best thing we have is, index cards?
Where did we go wrong, and how can we fix it so that society can progress?
