- bserge 5y agoThey were a financial power long before. It kinda came with the territory, being a global empire. They did well to hold on to it, though.
- 7sidedmarble 5y agoHow can you look at the history of the British trade companies and not see how intertwined imperialism and what we today call 'finance' are?
